Summary

At Marshall University's department of Communication Disorders, we are always looking for ways to make sure those we serve are met where they are and in a way that aligns with their personal values. A recent example of this is our department DEI committee collaborated with our local NSSLHA chapter to purchase inclusive toys and books for our clinic to be used with the children we serve. An extension of this is that we are highlighting a children's book every month that celebrates inclusivity, as well as providing example activities for parents that may be interested in the book, so they can incorporate inclusive learning into their home.
